Screening & Gynaecological Care
Screening, pelvic problems and small procedures, in a private setting
This covers the everyday gynaecological appointment: cervical screening, pelvic pain, unusual discharge, recurrent infections and the small procedures that can be done in clinic. A female doctor and chaperone are available on request for any examination, and nothing is examined before you know why. Findings are explained plainly, and if something needs a procedure beyond what is done in clinic or a specialist opinion, you are referred with your history and results already gathered, so the next visit does not start from scratch.
- A private appointment with time to talk before any examination

- Common problems assessed and treated in one place

Common questions
- Can I ask for a female doctor?
- Yes. Say so when you book and it will be arranged. A chaperone is available for any examination regardless of who is seeing you.
- How often should I have cervical screening?
- It depends on your age and your previous results. You will be told when you are due and when the next one is, at your appointment.
- Is what I say kept private?
- Yes. Your record is not shared with family members, and nothing is discussed with anyone who comes with you unless you ask for it.
